University of Goroka

University of Goroka is a publicly funded and managed university located in Papua New Guinea. The university is located in a town called Goroka which is located in the eastern part of the country. Since it’s establishment in 1968 the university has built a reputation of producing quality teacher education in the country. It has achieved this by providing her students with quality education to make significant improvements in the country and to the world.

The university has no religious affiliation but however trains students in morals, practical and theoretical knowledge across several fields aligning them to the nation's national goals. University of Goroka is a coeducational institution with a small and relatively diverse student body. The university also has a decent student to staff ratio, she welcomes students from different parts of the country and different parts of the world in general. International students are welcome as this allows for better student diversity. The university is a four year institution and provides affordable tuition and fees to the average citizen.

University of Goroka offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in different fields such as Sciences, Social sciences, education amongst others. It has over 3 schools in Education, Humanities and technology and is also a highly research driven institution. It has a well-equipped library, runs a per semester academic calendar and provides both accommodation and recreation facilities. Admission is also quite competitive.
