Rivers State University of Science and Technology

Rivers state university of science and technology is maintained by the rivers state government. The university was founded in 1979, Rivers state university of technology is the first of its kind in Nigeria, the university was established as a non-profit organization to push the frontiers of technology in Nigeria and the university has been committed to this since its inception. The university environment encourages students to be creative.

Rivers state university of technology school fees is affordable to all nigerians [about N100k] as the bulk of running the university is borne by the state government. The university offers bachelors and master's degree programs in Agriculture, Engineering, Social Sciences, law, education etc. The university has a large student population and not so many staff.

The university has good infrastructure like, roads, hostels, electricity supply etc. Admission into this university is very competitive and the university admits students from all parts of Nigeria.
