University of Gitwe

University of Gitwe is a private university located in Nyanza, in the southern region of Rwanda. The university is funded and managed by private individuals and it was established in the 2000s. The university takes a career-oriented approach in training her students, while a number of universities just train their students in academic and make no means of preparing them for the real life of work. This is the university of Gitwe, core objective; ensuring her student are competitive and very relevant in the work force and not just filled with academic knowledge they cannot practices. The university is also involved n collaborative research with other universities and companies to proffer solutions to problems in the society. The university is a full time institution and it offers undergraduate and postgraduate academic degree programs in her five faculties some of which include, the faculty of education, the faculty of medicine and several others. The university is a coeducational university and it is affiliated with the Christian religion, so student’s alongside their academic training are involved with a lot of Christian values. The university student population is not very large and diverse, It admits local and international students from different parts of the world. The University of Gitwe tuition goes for about 500,000 to over 1,000,000 Rwandan franc. It has a number of good facilities, students enjoy the campus and they have an optimal learning experience there, library, sport facilities, health center and several more facilities are available.
