University of Swaziland

The University of Swaziland is a publicly funded and managed university established in the year 1976 and is undoubtedly the best university in the country, the university is located in in the Manzini District 0f Swaziland in a town called Kwaluseni. Since its establishment the university has been committed to becoming one of the best universities in Africa, it holds a number of core values which it uses to guide it’s operations in order to achieve this goal. Some of which include, innovation, diversity amongst others. The University of Swaziland is a research driven innovative university that has high value for entrepreneurship and creativity and instills this in her students. The learning about entrepreneurship is engrained in the students’ learning curriculum during their academic stay in the university. The university has about eight faculties offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree in several fields including science and social sciences, some of those faculties include, the faculty of Agriculture, the faculty of education, the faculty of social sciences and several others. The university is involved in a lot of collaborative research with other universities and companies in industry to come up with good solutions to problems and better ways to improve our society. The university has a medium sized university student population and staff body with a healthy student to staff ratio. It offers a per semester academic calendar and admits both national and international students. The admission process is moderately competitive and religious and socio-cultural background hold little weight during the process. The university has a number of campus facilities across the nation. The university tuition ranges from about 14,000 Swazi lilangeni to about 60,000 Swazi lilangeni. It varies across the different academic programs and degree types. It also varies according to the student nationality. The university’s campus is well equipped with all the necessary facilities such as library, recreation facilities, laboratories, internet facilities amongst others.
