University of Zimbabwe is a full time public university located in Harare, Zimbabwe. The university was established in the mid-1950s and it is funded and managed by the nation's government. University of Zimbabwe is one of the nation's leading universities, it is one of the nation's oldest universities and since it’s inception it has been committed to providing equal access to quality education in the country. The university has had its fair share of challenges in its development but the bulk of those issues are sorted. University of Zimbabwe is committed to training her students to be excellent in their various academic fields, it was founded to develop human capital in different industries so they can contribute to the nation's development. The university is a research based university and is involved with several universities and key players in industry to proffer solutions to the nation's problems. The university has several campus facilities located in different parts of the country. The university of Zimbabwe runs a per semester academic calendar and it is a coeducational university, it has a medium sized student population which is quite diverse, it is a culturally inclusive university that admits both local and international students. The University of Zimbabwe offers full time undergraduate and postgraduate courses in several fields of study it offers about 10 faculties cutting across sciences and social sciences amongst others. The university offers financial aids service to her students along with a well laid out campus to ensure the environment is suitable for learning, the university of Zimbabwe has a very resourceful library and it has well equipped labs and several other facilities, tuition is also quite affordable.
