Agricultural Science
Agricultural science was once the major source of Nigeria's Income then we moved to Petrol, people stopped farming food became scarce and then became ultimately expensive. Most states in Nigeria import their food from the north because that is where most of the farming occurs.
Now Imagine if the North Becomes developed and Filled with cities like the south, who would farm food for Nigerians? This course exposes students to the different practices involved in the production of Plants and Animals for Different Uses. They also learn New Methods and Administrative Approaches being used in Farming. It is a Four year bachelor's degree program and graduates of this course have career opportunities as Farmers, Ranchers etc. In Agriculture Cooperative Management Students are exposed to how different farmers channel resources in order to undertake certain projects and activities.
To be Admitted into this course Aspirants are expected to take English Language, either Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics in the annual UTME examination, They are also expected to have a 5 credit pass in WAEC/NECO with subjects including Mathematics, English Language,either Geography or Economics or Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Agricultural Science.
