Plant Science
It is a Four year bachelor's degree program and graduates of this course study plants in topics that discuss how plants reproduce, stages of development in plants, Uses etc. Plants are grown for different Purposes, They can be used as Food, Fuel and Medicine etc. Individuals that intend to study this course should pay close attention to science subjects like mathematics, physics, biology and chemistry from secondary school.
Students Use knowledge from this course to proffer solutions to many plant diseases, In order to produce more and Healthier Plants. It is a Four year bachelor's degree program and graduates of this course have career opportunities as crop Farmers etc.
To be Admitted into this course Aspirants are expected to take English Language, either Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics in the annual UTME examination, They are also expected to have a 5 credit pass in WAEC/NECO with subjects including Mathematics, English Language,either Geography or Economics or Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Agricultural Science.
