University of the South Pacific

Fiji currently has about 3 universities one of which is the University of the South pacific. This institution is was established in 1968 and as at 2018 is arguably the best of the three universities in Fiji. The university is located in the densely populated town of Suva and has a very large student body. The student body is quite diverse seeing as the university has no religious affiliation and socio-cultural backgrounds are not used as core metric during the admission screening process.

It is a public university funded and managed by the government and is recognized/ accredited in the nation. The University of the South pacific also has large number of well-seasoned staff who are committed to thorough training of her students for academic excellence and knowledge prowess. Students are training on how classroom knowledge can be applied to solve real world problems. The university is a four year university and is a coeducational institution.

Admission is quite competitive and the university offers fulltime undergraduate and postgraduate degree in science and technology, social sciences, Arts and business management, education, engineering and several others. Tuition fees vary according to different programs and student categories but are however reasonable
