Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic

Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic also often called akanupoly is a federal polytechnic located in Ebonyi state south south Nigeria. The polytechnic was established in 1981 and was named after the then governor of Eastern Nigeria. Akanupoly is committed to training her students to get practical and theoretical knowledge of technology in order for them to be useful to themselves and to their community.

Akanu Ibiam Polytechnic is convinced that if these students keep they training they have received they will definitely play significant roles in sustainable national development. The polytechnic has no religious affiliation so prospects from different religions and cultural backgrounds should feel free to apply. The student body is relatively large in population but has a relatively low student diversity. Admission into this polytechnic is very competitive.

Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic offers her students well equipped facilitates in order for them to have a good learning expereinces, some of these facilities include a well-furnished library & ICT center. The polytechnic is also committed to research. Akanupoly offers full time ND/HND programs cutting across Agriculture, Engineering/technology, Sciences, Social Sciences & Commerce. it also offers Pre-ND Sciences
