Eastern Polytechnic

Eastern Polytechnic is one of Sierra Leones public polytechnic that was established in the early 2000s, the polytechnic is funded and managed by the nation's government. Eastern Polytechnic is located in eastern Sierra Leone. The polytechnic is committed to improving the intellectual capacity of her students through the use of various educational learning resources and teaching methods. The university makes its fair contributions to raising the standard of education in the country and also aiding the country in achieving its economic goals by properly training the students to be both relevant to themselves and to national development. The Eastern Polytechnic is also involved in academic research. It is involved in collaborations in order to proffer solutions to national and international problems in our society. The Eastern Polytechnic has no religious affiliation and has a large university community, there are far too many students in the polytechnic compare to the staff and the staff student ratio is not healthy. The polytechnic offers full time undergraduate degrees in engineering, sciences, health science, business management and distant learning. Eastern Polytechnic is a coeducational university which is culturally inclusive, it admit both local and international students and has a moderately competitive admission selection process.
