Higher School of Electricity, Building and Public Works is as the name implies is a niche based institution located in the capital of Senegal, Darka along with a lot of universities. The university is a private institution and so it is funded and managed by individuals and not the government. Higher School of Electricity, Building and Public Works teaches and trains them to be competent in a number of field in science and technology, the students are exposed to a lot education resources and also spends a lot of time on practicals to ensure they can apply their classroom knowledge to solve real world problems, because their fields of study are predominantly on real life problems. The university runs a per semester academic calendar and it is officially recognized by the nation's academic bodies. The university provides a lot of full time diplomas training to her students in engineering, technology and science so they are equipped as skilled manpower and contribute to the nation's development. It does not have an extremely large and diverse student population, it how ever has no affiliation to any religion or culture within and outside Senegal, thus allowing the university to admit both local and international students into her systems. It is a coeducation university and admission is not entirely competitive. The university has a moderate staff to student ratio. Tuition is affordable and the Higher School of Electricity, Building and Public Works has a lot of labs for practicals, it also has a good learning environment that is very great for her students.
