Mogadishu University

Mogadishu University was established in the late 1990s and it is one of Somalia private funded and managed universities, it is also renowned and often referred to as one of the elite universities in Somalia. The university has a number of campuses located in different parts of the country. It has its main campus located in the Banaadir of Somalia. The university is committed to becoming a top higher education institution in the country and in the region at large she is committed to the dissemination of quality education in Somalia and providing equal access to that education and ensuring it is affordable. The university is a research based institution and it proffers solutions to several problems within her immediate community and the world. The university has a number of core values which it uses to guide her operations and students are expected to live by them during their academic stay. Banaadir was established seeing the need to develop human capital in several areas of student in Somalia. The university makes her students go through a thorough education training process to help them become competent and ultimately useful to the nation's development. Mogadishu university runs a per semester academic calendar and welcomes booth local and international students into her community. Admission into this university is very competitive. The university is coeducation and it has a not very large student and staff population, the student to staff ratio is however very commendable. Mogadishu offers full time undergraduate and postgraduate academic facilities in her different faculties.
