Universidade Jean Piaget de Angola, is an Angolan university that was named after a Swiss philosopher, the university was founded in the year 2000, and is run and managed by private individuals. The university is one of the nation's contemporary universities. It is committed to training her students in different areas of life both that which are relevant to their academics and outside academia. Students are involved in scientific research, the university encourages creativity amongst her students particularly in technology. Jean Piaget University is also know to render a couple of services to her immediate community and playing its role in improving Angola. The university is a full time four year university with a medium sized student population. The university offers full time undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in several fields of study, which include sciences and social sciences, it has about four faculties which are the faculty of health sciences, faculty of science and technologies, faculty of social and human sciences and several others. The university has a relatively diverse student body. Admission into the Jean Piaget University is not very competitive, religious and Socio-cultural factors hold little weight during the admission screening process.
