Université Assane SECK de Ziguinchor was founded in the year 2007 and it is located in the largest city in Senegal called Zinguinchor, the university is one of the nation's contemporary universities, and since her inception has been committed to her vision of being a renowned university in Senegal and Africa at large being known for academic excellence and breakthrough in research across the nation and the world. Ziguinchor University as it is often called by many is one of the nation's coeducational universities and it runs on a number of core values which are instilled in her students during their academic stay in the university. The objective is to train her students to be competent in not just academia but in career and industry ultimately, they are also taught to take steps in making significant improvements in their immediate environment and the nation at large.
