University of Liberia

The University of Liberia is currently the nation's only public university, it is funded and managed by the Liberian government. The university was established in as far back as the 1950s and it is the first university in the country. The University is located in Montserrado, Liberia but also has a number of other campus sites in different parts of the nation. The university since its inception has achieved a number of feats and accomplishments and has also had a lot of challenges that have affected it's development. University of Liberia is committed to academic excellence, student of this university are properly trained by experts of different fields of study to be extremely competent so as to play key roles in industry and national development, research and development is also one of the University of Liberia's activities. This is done in order to discover new ways/approaches problems within her immediate environment and the world can be solves. The university has a very large student population consisting of student form different parts of the country and even outside the country. It has no religious affiliation or cultural affiliation, thus its diver student population. It runs a trimester academic calendar and has a large number of well-seasoned staff. The university has a good student to staff ratio and ultimately relationship. It offers full time undergraduate and postgraduate academic degrees in sciences and social sciences. The University of Liberia has affordable tuition and offers conducive learning environment to her students. It has one of the cheapest tuition in the country and its admission process is very competitive as a lot of students want to study here.
