University of Rwanda is public university founded in the early 1960s, it is one of Rwanda’s oldest an leading universities, it is a full time institution that is funded and managed by the nation's government. The university is located in Kigali City, Rwanda. the university is committed to her objective of creating competent graduates in the various fields of study, they are trained not just with practical and theoretical knowledge which will be useful in their various industries but how to identify problems in the society and proffer optimal long term solutions to them. The university is committed to excellence in academia, innovations and human development. University of Rwanda is a research based university it invest a lot in research and in the discovery of new knowledge that could significantly improve the nation and the world. The university is a coeducational university and it has no religious affiliation it admits both local and international students from different parts of the world and it has no preference in her admission process based on religious or socio-cultural background. The university has a very large student population and high graduation rate, it consists of seasoned staff from different fields. University of Rwanda has a good student to staff ration which is healthy for the university. It runs a per semester academic calendar and the university runs full time undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs some of its colleges include , the college of social sciences, the college of education , the college of science and technology and several other. Tuition goes for between 600,000 to over 1,000,000 Rwandan franc as at the time of this writing. The university offers her student a very conducive environment for learning providing them with necessary facilities, the university has good labs, classrooms ,a very resourceful university library and several other facilities.
