Agricultural Economics

Quite Similar to Agribusiness Management. This course exposes students to the different policies and practices of agriculture in Nigeria. Agricultural Economics exposes students to different economic theories and approaches that can be implemented to maximize the produce generated by farmers across the country.

The course also teaches students operation research where they learn how to distribute these produce to different locations and still be cost effective and not waste money in the process.It is a four year course Graduates of the course have career Oppurtunities as Crop and Animal Farmers.

To be Admitted into this course Aspirants are expected to take English Language, either Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics in the annual UTME examination, They are also expected to have a 5 credit pass in WAEC/NECO with subjects including Mathematics, English Language,either Geography or Economics or Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Agricultural Science.
