Soil ScienceDifferent types of crop should be planted in different types of soil, thus the need for knowledge in Soil Science. This course exposes students to different soil attributes in terms of physical, biological and chemical properties. They learn Soil Formation and Classifications and learn what plants should be planted on different soils. It is a Four year bachelor's degree program and graduates of this course have Career opportunities as crop producers, environmental scientists etc.
To be Admitted into this course Aspirants are expected to take English Language, either Biology or Agricultural Science, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics in the annual UTME examination, They are also expected to have a 5 credit pass in WAEC/NECO with subjects including Mathematics, English Language,either Geography or Economics or Physics, Chemistry and either Biology or Agricultural Science.
