Very Similar to Crop science and Plant science, this course exposes students to different pest and weed management of Plants. Undergraduates study plants as living organisms ranging from Microscopic Bacteria to trees. Plants can be used as food and also have medicinal value thus the importance of studying them. It is a Four year bachelor's degree program and graduates of this course have career opportunities as Horticulturists, Crop Producers etc.

To be Admitted into this course Aspirants are expected to take English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the annual UTME examination, They are also expected to have a 5 credit pass in WAEC/NECO with subjects including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
