Biochemistry

The course teaches students about the branch of science that explores the chemical processes within and related to living organisms. This knowledge is needed to know how living organisms react to different chemicals.
Undergraduates do a lot of Lab work and Tests with animals during the course of their study. Knowledge in chemistry and biology allows biochemists understand and solve biological problems. It is a Four year bachelor's degree program and graduates of this course could have career opportunities such as Biological Scientists, Medical Assistants etc.

To be Admitted into this course Aspirants are expected to take English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the annual UTME examination, They are also expected to have a 5 credit pass in WAEC/NECO with subjects including Mathematics, English Language,Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
