Federal university of technology, Owerri located in imo state south east Nigeria is a technology intensive university that was established in 1980 in Owerri the capital of Imo
state. There are two other similar universities in Nigeria. The university has a large student body that is decently diverse. Chances are the university is predominantly filed with
students from south east Nigeria and are mostly Christians with very few Muslims. Either ways religious and cultural backgrounds are used as admission criteria into this university.
FUTO school is cheap [Below N100,000l] and affordable and offers various degrees in engineering, agriculture, science and technology and education. Admission into this university is very competitive. The university provides accommodation for its students but a number live off campus in Owerri.
The university also has provides other facilities like a library, electricity good roads etc.
